Overview:

Abhayapuri is a Town located in district of Bongaigaon, Assam. The Abhayapuri city is divided into 11 wards for which elections are held every 5 years. The Abhayapuri Town Committee has population of 15,847 of which 7,936 are males while 7,911 are females as per report released by Census India 2011.

Abhayapuri Municipal Board has total administration over 5200 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage. It is also authorize to build roads within Municipal Board limits and impose taxes on properties coming under its jurisdiction.

To ensure the right to public health, efficient and quality basic services to all citizens, to provide a congenial environment, to bridge the gap between the have and the have nots, in tune to a living standard of the present age.
