About Us

Digboi Town Committee constituted in the year 1960, with population of about 22 thousand is in Margherita civil sub division located in the district of Tinsukia, Assam. This part is rich in natural resources like oil, coal and tea. Digboi is known as the Oil City of Assam where the first oil well in Asia was drilled.
